Pin Up of the Week

Pin Up of the Week: Ivory Rose

This week’s pin up of the week is not only a pin up model, but a great photographer as well! I have done several shoots with her, and three of them are actually in or going into published material! So…let’s get to know a little more about Ivory Rose!

Me: What inspired you to become a pin up model?

Ivory Rose: I have always loved the pinup culture, but what inspired me to become a pin up model was the fact that the pin up community is so body positive. Pin ups come in all shapes and sizes, as we woman do in actual life. There are also different forms of pin up modeling to fit everyone’s preferences and comfort zone. It can literally be for everyone.

Me: How did you find your pin up name?

Ivory Rose: How I found my pin up name is kind of silly. I was looking in the mirror, and I was thinking, “Man, I’m really pale!” So I thought of Ivory for my first part of my name. From there I was trying to think of something nice and feminine, that also flowed nicely and made sense with Ivory. I then chose Rose for the last part of my pin up name. Thus Ivory Rose was born.

Me: If you could visit anywhere in the world, where would you go?

Ivory Rose: If I could travel anywhere, I would have to say that I would love to go to the Bermuda Triangle. I have always had a love for history, mystery, and the unknown. I would love to scuba dive some of the wreckage and be able to witness one of the greatest mysteries in history.

Me: Who is your role model?

Ivory Rose: My role model is not one set person in particular, but yet the women who have overcome life’s obstacles and still has the strength to carry on and inspire our younger generation to be the best that they can be. For example: inspirational speakers who bring light to abuse and rape and help the other victims heal. People who are willing to tell their story and give advice to help others heal inspire me. Those are the people I look up to as a role model. It takes a lot of strength and heart to be that person, and help those in need. Don’t make a difference. Be the difference.

Me: Last question, what advice do you have for someone getting started in pin up?

Ivory Rose: Don’t let anyone persuade you to believe that you’re not good enough in any way shape or form. With every person rooting you on, there will be another ten people behind them who will not want you to succeed. Because of that, you must simply prove them wrong! Show them that your love for pin up and yourself is much more important them any of their negativity. If you have a passion for something, you should give it your all and go after it. We only have one life, and it’s too short to wonder about the what ifs.

I hope you all enjoyed getting to know Ivory Rose a little more. She is very talented and a great friend too! Make sure you keep checking back here for our next pin up of the week, as well as everyday beauty and fashion tips from me!

Thank you!
