Dalgona coffee is all the rage right now! While the original tastes great, I thought it would be fun to try a variation on this whipped coffee treat! So today I am presenting you with a delicious Vegan Blueberry Matcha Dalgona Coffee version!

A Little about Dalgona Coffee

For those of you still unfamiliar with Dalgona coffee, this viral sensation’s name came from a Korean sponge candy known as Dalgona. However, Whipped Coffee became very popular thanks to Tik Tok, and now everyone wants in on the craze!

The process for regular whipped coffee is quite simple. All you need is a milk of your choice, a sweetener, and instant coffee. The version I am introducing today takes this style in a bit different, but fun healthy direction!

Benefits of Matcha

Matcha contains a lot of health benefits and makes a great start to your day! Some of the benefits include:

  • High in antioxidants
  • Can help protect the liver
  • Boosts brain function
  • May promote heart health

It makes a nice substitute for coffee too if you are trying to kick the habit. I still love my coffee and don’t think I could ever give it up, but I have friends that have gone to matcha instead of coffee. I would rather have both!

Delicious Vegan Blueberry Matcha Dalgona Coffee

Ingredients:

  • ¼ cup Aquafaba (Aquafaba is a great egg replacement made from chickpeas)
  • 2 tbsp Blueberry Matcha Powder (You can find this on Amazon or places like David’s Tea)
  • 2 tbsp Sweetener of choice (we use coconut sugar)
  • Milk of choice (we used unsweetened Almond milk)
  • Ice cubes

Instructions:

-Using a hand mixer or a stand mixer, whisk together the aquafaba, sweetener and matcha powder until peaks are formed. (Don’t give up, it does take quite a bit of time)

A Few Final Words

I hope you all enjoy this delicious Vegan Blueberry Matcha Dalgona Coffee! Don’t forget to share it or pin it if you do! I plan to share a lot more recipes in upcoming posts as I have gotten a lot of questions about what I eat.

If you follow me on social media or have been reading here for a while, you know I have a lot of food allergies. My food allergies include: gluten, dairy, and soy. In addition, because of other health issues, like bilateral migraines, my doctor has me staying away from nitrates, yeast, and refined sugars.

It definitely makes food shopping and meal planning interesting. Over the past two years, my husband and I have been experimenting with different recipes, and I have gotten some requests for ideas. So here we are!

Therefore, the recipes I post here will all be dairy-free, gluten-free, and soy-free. I also pin a lot of ideas on Pinterest too, so be sure to check that out as well!

So that is all for now! Please let me know how you liked this recipe in the comments below!

I have no idea if I’d like this, lol. I’ve never tasted Dalgona and I’ve never tried whipped coffee, but it looks good. I’d try it, definitely.

It’s fun to make. I can’t drink this one right now because of caffeine and being pregnant, but I still like to make the original version but with decaf instant coffee, almond milk, and coconut sugar. My daughter makes one of these versions daily though.

I never heard of Aquafaba before but nice to learn it’s an egg replacement made from chickpeas. The Vegan Blueberry Matcha Dalgona Coffee sounds interesting.

It is always nice to have an egg replacement on hand in case you run out of eggs. Also, I am a big fan of the protein that comes from chickpeas. I even use chickpea pasta for the protein boost

This post is chock full of things new to me, and wower, it sure looks good!!! I’d like to try it, and I’m wondering if you make your own aquafaba or buy it, I’ve not noticed it anywhere. I often feel a twinge of guilt when I empty can of liquid from chickpeas, thinking I’ll try making it, but never had a recipe – dang! Now I have the motivation! This recipe needs to be on a magazine cover!
