Photo Fun At Lowes with my plus size overalls
Over the summer, I totally fell in love with the plus size overall trend, like these cute Torrid plus size overalls! So when someone gave me the idea to do a photoshoot at my local Lowes, I thought this look would be perfect for the occasion! Here are the results from that shoot, and don’t worry, I will include some tips in case any of you want to use a home improvement store for Instagram Photo Fun!
About the Look
For this look, I took my overalls and paired them with a fun bodysuit from Lindy Bop! When it comes to wearing overalls, I like the shirt to have a close fit. Bodysuits work great for that!
I found my shoes while thrifting at Love Thy Curves. Love Thy Curves specializes in consignment shopping for women sizes 14 and up. Then I found the hat while exploring boutiques in Pinecrest. This one came from Apricot Lane! If you haven’t noticed, even when I shop at bigger retailers, I love to shop small when I can!
The Concept for this Shoot
Since this photoshoot challenge series is starting to turn into my thing, one of my friends suggested using a home improvement store for one. I totally loved the idea. While it might not seem like a likely fashion location, I actually use home improvement stores quite a bit for photos when I am in a pinch. To keep it fun, I used the fall flowers and decorations as my props in a lot of it.
If you are an Instagram Influencer and want to try this photoshoot idea, make sure you always leave things exactly as you find them. Don’t damage merchandise, and come at a time when you won’t be in anyone’s way. That is beneficial both ways because it means you don’t have to crop people out of your photos!
These photoshoots are always fun for me. I get to show off some of my favorite fashions, like these cute plus size overalls from Torrid, but I also get to do it in a fun, original way. One of the things I have really learned this past year is that authenticity is important. I really struggled for a while in returning to blogging in figuring out how to share my loves in a unique way.
Hopefully, that shows in all of this!
