Something you may not know about me is that I still have the heart of a girl on the farm! When I was younger, I bought my first car (and helped fix it up) with the money I made from showing and selling livestock, among other projects in 4-H. This summer, I got the opportunity to explore the Ohio State Fair in exchange for media coverage. Therefore, I decided it was the perfect opportunity to have some photo fun!

Some Of My Favorite Moments

Obviously, I had to visit the animals. I spent a little too much time with the sheep reminiscing how much of my summers growing up went towards getting my lambs ready to show. My family had to pull me out of the building because I seriously would have spent the day there!

I also fell in love with the little piglets. Aren’t they just the cutest?

I loved watching the Steel Drum Corp. They had great energy, and they were a lot of fun to watch!

Then, of course, it wouldn’t be a trip to the fair without checking out tractors. In case you are wondering, I am still a John Deere girl through and through!

I also had fun checking out the exhibit buildings. This mural was super cool, and sadly I don’t think pictures do it justice.

Random Photo Fun

Dressed in my Sourpuss best, I had to take advantage of the carnival atmosphere of the midway at the Ohio State Fair for some great shots! These were some of my favorites!

I love Ferris Wheels, and the Ohio State Fair contained three. I hoped to get a better shot of the lighting for this, but instead I went with a vintage black and white look.

What can I say? I couldn’t help myself, but also let me say that I was very grateful for water fountains that day!

What fair fun isn’t complete without carnival games. Sadly, my partner did not want to win me a Gizmo Plushie.

While this was a kiddie ride, I loved all the lights and colors, so we had to get a photo!

In case you want to know the key to a long-lasting marriage, it is the ability to do silly things with each other now and then. My partner and I just celebrated 17 years of marriage last month, and I love that I can get him to do stuff like this with me!

I totally did this just for fun because I thought the pigs were cute!!!

Final Thoughts

I hope you enjoyed my photo fun of one of my favorite places, the Ohio State Fair. If you didn’t get to make it this year, it is definitely something to add to your things to do for next year. Whether you go with family or even just as a date, you can easily find entertainment and fun! Don’t forget to check me out on Instagram for more photo fun, stories, and shenanigans!
