Photoshoot Challenge at Pat Catan’s
If you are a crafty person living in the midwest, then you know the devastation of Pat Catan’s being no more. I had to immortalize my love for Pat Catan’s somehow before they closed their doors to me forever, so I did what any other weird, creative type would do…I got dressed up and took photos there!
If you were expecting fancy photos, you came to the wrong place for this challenge. This was all about being out of place but still having fun. I am wearing my favorite tulle skirt that I got at Rue 21 a few years back, combat boots, rainbow socks, my I’m No Angel tee from Lane Bryant, and my favorite denim jacket from Torrid.
I chose to use the floral section because I thought it looked like a lot of fun. I also wanted it to resemble the background for the fancy shoots people have been doing at craft stores!
I am in no way wanting to make fun of the fancy shoots, but because I do some alternative modeling and art, I thought it would be fun to mix things up a bit!
I am pretty bummed about not having Pat Catan’s anymore as it really was my favorite craft store. The staff was friendly, and they always had what I needed plus a lot of things I didn’t think I needed but bought all the same!
Also, this kind of experience helps me conquer fears in a way. I totally got a lot of stares that night…not because the mister and I were taking photos but because of my attire. I take it in stride and walk with my head tall. Believe it or not, it actually helps me with my anxiety!
I hope you enjoyed this photoshoot challenge! I am planning some more and love sharing my art fun with all of you! If you want to see more, make sure you are following me on Instagram where I tell stories and share daily fashion and beauty fun!
